NEST Platform enhances account security with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving cybersecurity and protecting customer data, NEST  now includes Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for all platform users.

With this update, users will continue to log in using their username and password. Then, NEST automatically sends a temporary verification code to the email address associated with their account. Entering this code completes the login process and adds an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access.

How does the new authentication work?

The login process remains simple:

  1. Enter your username and password.
  2. Receive a temporary verification code by email.
  3. Enter the code to access NEST.

Why has 2FA been implemented?

NEST Two-Factor Authentication helps protect user accounts even if login credentials are compromised. It also aligns the platform with current cybersecurity best practices for cloud-based solutions.

No additional configuration is required. Verification codes are sent automatically whenever identity verification is needed.

Support for NEST users

This security update applies exclusively to the NEST platform. Users of the legacy DAP platform will continue to access their accounts through the existing login process.

For security reasons, users will need to verify their identity again every 7 days using a new verification code.

Customers experiencing any issues or requiring assistance can contact our support team at o&m@dtbird.com.

This update is part of our continuous development of NEST, providing wind farm operators with an increasingly secure, reliable and user-friendly platform for monitoring bird and bat protection systems.
