DTBird & DTBat Events

DTBird participated in REScoop.eu Interregional Conference “Renewable energy: now more than ever!”

DTBird participated in the REScoop.eu Interregional Conference “Renewable Energy: Now More Than Ever!”, held in Eupen, Belgium, on January 17, 2017.

The event was organized by the European Federation of Renewable Energy Cooperatives (REScoop.eu) and brought together experts, policy makers, environmental organizations, renewable energy cooperatives and technology providers to discuss the future of sustainable energy in Europe.

The conference addressed key topics including renewable energy deployment, biodiversity protection, spatial planning, citizen participation, environmental sustainability and the role of technology in supporting the energy transition.

Bird-friendly wind power solutions

DTBird participated in Workshop 1, focused on wind turbines and their impact on avifauna. During the session, DTBird presented “DTBird, Bird Smart and Transparent Wind Power. Now More Than Ever!”, highlighting technologies designed to support bird-friendly wind power generation while reducing bird collision risks.

The presentation demonstrated how environmental technologies can help reconcile renewable energy development with bird conservation objectives.

Renewable energy and biodiversity protection

One of the main objectives of the conference was to address concerns raised by environmental organizations regarding the impact of wind turbines on bird migration and biodiversity.

Participants discussed how renewable energy projects can be developed while minimizing environmental impacts and supporting long-term biodiversity protection strategies.

Bird-friendly wind power solutions such as DTBird help wind farm operators improve bird monitoring, reduce collision risks and support environmental sustainability goals.

Renewable energy challenges and solutions

The conference also examined economic and technical aspects of renewable energy development, including grid access, energy costs, citizen participation and local economic benefits.

REScoop.eu highlighted the importance of community involvement in renewable energy projects and the role of cooperatives in accelerating the European energy transition.

Supporting sustainable wind energy development

DTBird participation in the REScoop.eu Conference reinforced its commitment to promoting bird-friendly wind power and supporting biodiversity protection across Europe.

The event provided an opportunity to exchange experiences with stakeholders from Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, contributing to the development of more sustainable renewable energy projects.
