DTBird delivers oral presentation at EWEA 2015 Annual Event
DTBird® participated in the EWEA 2015 Annual Event held in Paris, France, from November 17 to 20, 2015, where the company presented its bird collision risk reduction technology to wind energy professionals from across Europe and beyond.
In addition to exhibiting at Stand F06, DTBird delivered an oral presentation focused on the use of automated acoustic deterrence systems to reduce bird collisions at wind turbines.
Oral presentation at EWEA 2015
The presentation, titled “Automatic emission of sound to avoid bird collisions with wind turbines: From biological concepts to current performance”, explored the scientific basis and operational results of DTBird collision avoidance technology.
The session was included in the topic “Cumulative impacts on birds”, which addressed environmental impacts and social acceptance issues related to wind energy development.
It took place on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, from 17:00 to 18:30.
Sharing experience with the wind industry
The EWEA Annual Event brought together wind energy developers, manufacturers, researchers, environmental specialists and policy makers to discuss the latest developments in the sector.
DTBird’s participation provided an opportunity to share practical experience in bird monitoring and collision risk reduction technologies for wind farms.
From EWEA to WindEurope
EWEA (European Wind Energy Association) later became WindEurope, which today remains one of the world’s leading organizations representing the wind energy industry.
DTBird continues to participate in international industry events to promote solutions that improve the coexistence between renewable energy generation and wildlife conservation.
