DTBird joins WindEurope and the Spanish Wind Energy Association
DTBird joins WindEurope and Asociación Empresarial Eólica (AEE), strengthening its role within the European and Spanish wind energy sector. Both organisations are recognised authorities that support policy development, technical standards and cooperation across the renewable energy industry.
WindEurope represents more than 500 companies and national associations across Europe. Additionally, AEE brings together the main Spanish stakeholders involved in onshore and offshore wind development. This dual membership allows DTBird to participate in expert discussions, share technical insights and collaborate on environmental innovation.
Our decision to join both organisations reflects DTBird’s long-term commitment to transparency, data-driven environmental monitoring and responsible wind farm development. Moreover, our experience with bird and bat detection systems is increasingly relevant as new onshore and offshore wind farms will be deployed to meet the 2030 renewable energy targets.
Membership in WindEurope and AEE also opens new opportunities for cooperation. For example, it enables closer interaction with developers, operators, research institutions and environmental authorities. Furthermore, it strengthens the exchange of knowledge derived from DTBird’s operational deployments in several countries.
As part of our involvement, DTBird intends to contribute with real case data from multiple wind farms and pilot projects. This information helps improve environmental assessments and supports discussions on mitigation strategies, monitoring protocols and the coexistence between wildlife and wind infrastructure.
We look forward to expanding our network and working side by side with both organisations in their technical and environmental initiatives.
