First DTBirdV8 installed: The new DTBird® model for On & Offshore large WTG.

DTBird® has completed the first installation of the new DTBirdV8 model, designed for large onshore and offshore wind turbines.

The first DTBirdV8 system was installed in Zaragoza, Spain, marking an important milestone in the evolution of DTBird bird detection and collision risk reduction technologies.

DTBirdV8 for large wind turbines

The DTBirdV8 model has been developed to meet the monitoring requirements of modern large-scale wind turbines. Equipped with eight cameras, the system provides bird detection coverage of up to 600 meters and 360° monitoring around the wind turbine.

This increased coverage allows wind farm operators to improve bird detection performance while adapting to the growing dimensions of modern wind energy projects.

Enhanced monitoring capabilities

The DTBirdV8 system expands the monitoring area around the wind turbine and supports more comprehensive bird activity assessments.

These improvements contribute to collision risk reduction strategies and biodiversity protection measures at wind farms.
