DTBird & DTBat Installations

Nine new DTBird units have been installed in France and Greece

DTBird® has completed the installation of nine new systems in France and Greece, further expanding its presence in European wind farms.

These new DTBird units incorporate upgraded detection technology designed to improve monitoring performance and collision risk reduction capabilities.

New DTBird installations in Europe

The newly installed systems operate with SCADA connectivity and have been deployed on wind turbines manufactured by Gamesa, Vestas and Neg Micon.

The installations support wind farm operators in monitoring bird activity and implementing biodiversity protection measures.

Enhanced detection performance

The new generation of DTBird systems includes several important technical improvements compared to previous versions.

  • 256% larger image analysis area for real-time processing.
  • 31% wider lens angle, increasing overlap between detection zones.
  • Higher light sensitivity for improved monitoring performance.

These enhancements increase detection coverage and improve the system’s ability to monitor bird activity under a wider range of environmental conditions.

Supporting biodiversity at wind farms

The continued deployment of DTBird technology demonstrates the growing demand for automated wildlife monitoring solutions that help reduce bird collision risks while supporting renewable energy generation.
