DTBird hits the 300+ worldwide units’ mark!
DTBird strengthens its position as a market leader in bird and bat monitoring and mortality-mitigation systems for the wind energy sector. By the end of 2020, the company reached its 300th installed unit, marking a key point in the commercial deployment of the technology first launched in Spain in 2009.
More than 40 DTBird systems and 5 DTBat systems were installed during Q3 and Q4 2020 across several onshore wind farms in Europe. These deployments confirm the growing demand for automated detection, monitoring, and mitigation solutions among wind-farm operators.
Third-party installation partners continued to receive technical training to support the correct installation, commissioning, and maintenance of DTBird and DTBat units worldwide. This collaborative model ensures consistent quality standards and reduces installation times for customers in Europe.
DTBird’s offshore technology also expanded during this period. The DTBirdV8N2 model was installed on transition pieces in offshore projects, providing continuous monitoring with four camera sets designed to operate under harsh marine conditions.
The company plans to continue strengthening its global presence through new deployments, updated product versions, and long-term service agreements with wind-farm operators and engineering firms.
