Asia, Europe and North America, over 50 new units installed in 3Q-4Q 2019
During the second half of 2019, DTBird and DTBat continued expanding their presence worldwide. More than 50 new units were installed across Asia, Europe, and North America, confirming the growing demand for automated and transparent wind-power technologies that help protect birds and bats.
Growth aligned with the company’s mission
DTBird & DTBat systems support Liquen’s mission to “develop, manufacture and install technologies that make wind energy compatible with wildlife preservation through automatic and real-time protection”.
These deployments demonstrate how both technologies continue to evolve in line with global environmental expectations and stricter biodiversity requirements in the wind-energy sector.
Installations across three continents
The DTBird DTBat new installations 2019 included projects in onshore, near-shore, and offshore environments.
These deployments covered a diverse range of geographic and environmental conditions, providing operators with reliable monitoring and collision-mitigation solutions tailored to each site.
Key areas where units were installed include:
-
Asia: expanding presence in fast-growing wind markets with a strong focus on environmental compliance.
-
Europe: new installations and upgrades in countries with mature wind energy sectors.
-
North America: additional deployments in both onshore wind farms and near-shore coastal locations.
Supporting transparent and responsible wind energy
Each DTBird and DTBat system installed provides automatic detection, recording, and mitigation actions that help reduce the risk of bird and bat collisions.
The systems operate continuously and provide objective, real-time information that supports environmental reporting and strengthens the concept of transparent wind power.
Over 200 units installed globally
With these deployments completed in 2019, DTBird and DTBat surpassed 200 units installed in 14 countries, reflecting steady global growth across both onshore and offshore wind-energy sectors.
