DTBird presence in WindEurope Bilbao 2022 & CWW 2022!
Last week, DTBird team delegates traveled to Bilbao to attend the WindEurope Annual Event 2022, one of the largest wind-energy gatherings in Europe. During the same week, our technical staff also participated in the Conference on Wind & Wildlife Impacts (CWW), held in Egmond aan Zee, The Netherlands. Both conferences took place simultaneously, from April 4th to April 8th, and brought together hundreds of experts from the wind sector, academia, and environmental research.
WindEurope’s annual event is known for gathering developers, manufacturers, operators, environmental consultants, policymakers, and technology providers. The 2022 edition focused on offshore growth, grid expansion, digitalisation, and sustainability strategies for Europe’s fast-growing wind sector.
In parallel to the Bilbao event, our technical staff joined the CWW 2022 Conference, the leading international forum on wildlife interactions with wind energy. The conference gathers researchers, regulators, NGOs, and industry specialists to present new findings on bird and bat behaviour, collision risk, mitigation effectiveness, offshore environmental assessments, and monitoring methodologies.
During these international events, we presented our DTBird and DTBat systems to a wide range of professionals: Wind Farm Developers, Operators, Manufacturers, Environmental Consultants, Project Managers, and University Students. As a result, visitors were able to see firsthand the latest hardware design of our cameras, speakers, and bat-detection systems. Our participation reinforces DTBird’s long-standing commitment to supporting the wind sector with reliable, scientifically validated monitoring systems.
