DTBird Offshore Projects Map 2021

New DTBird Offshore Projects on the horizon!

As the offshore wind market continues to expand across several regions, the demand for installing and operating DTBird and DTBat units has continued to grow. The 2021 DTBird offshore projects include new installations, updated engineering designs, and improved support for large offshore and near-shore wind farms. In addition, customers increasingly require monitoring, mortality mitigation, and collision-control solutions that comply with environmental authorizations and marine regulations.

Customization of DTBird offshore units

DTBird offshore units undergo a high level of customization. This includes adjustments to equipment, cabling, fixing systems, communication setups, and cybersecurity procedures. These adaptations ensure the quality, durability, and robustness required to operate safely in harsh marine conditions.
Moreover, the offshore configuration of DTBird and DTBat systems is reviewed in detail before deployment. This process reduces on-site risks and improves long-term stability in environments exposed to salt, humidity, and strong winds.

Experience in the North Sea and near-shore environments

DTBird has been operating in the North Sea since 2016, with systems installed on offshore platforms and turbines. To date, the company has worked on three offshore projects and five near-shore projects, supporting developers and operators in both fixed and floating wind farms.
Recently, DTBird completed five new Engineering Design Projects to be installed in upcoming wind farms. These engineering packages include the preparation of structure interfaces, environmental requirements, camera positioning, system hardening, and data-communication plans. As a result, DTBird offshore projects in 2021 demonstrate the company’s continuous ability to adapt to new technological and environmental challenges.

DTBird continues to collaborate with developers, environmental teams, and turbine manufacturers to improve wildlife protection and operational reliability offshore.
